SIR PAUL McCartney and his former brother-in-law John Eastman became family after the former married his first wife Linda Eastman.
Prior to John's death, he was a music attorney to the stars who encountered The Beatles through his sister Linda and her marriage to Paul.

On Twitter, Sir Paul paid tribute to his late brother-in-law and said: "My dear brother-in-law, John Eastman, has passed away.
"Having known each other for over 50 years it is an extremely sad time for me, and our families.
"John was a great man. One of the nicest and smartest people I have had the good luck to have known in my life."
