After a year away from the village, Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) will be making her return in Emmerdale tonight.
As Moira (Natalie J Robb) looks forward to her night with Cain (Jeff Hordley) in a hotel, plans change when Tracy (Amy Walsh) goes into labour.
Following her phone call from Cain letting her know of what’s happening, Moira crosses the hotel car park, and is stunned to see Faith, dressed in full mourner’s garb.
As Faith makes her way back to the village, Cain isn’t pleased to see her.
Ahead of some dramatic scenes tonight, we’re bringing you a quick reminder on why Cain hates Faith…
What happened with Cain and Faith?
Faith left the village because Cain and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) made her do so after they discovered she had covered up the fact that Cain had a secret son.
Nate (Jurell Carter) arrived in the village and slept with Moira, and then revealed that Cara Robinson (Carryl Thomas) was his mum – making him Cain’s long-lost son.
Faith made the confession that she was involved in covering up Nate being Cain’s son because of his father Shadrach, who was racist.
Faith said she warned Cara off when she came to announce the pregnancy, fearing Shadrach might target her.
Faith believed she was protecting them and Cain by never telling him about Nate, but Cain didn’t see it that way.
Faith was consumed with guilt over the mess she had made, which led her to leave the village, and understandably, Cain wasn’t around to say goodbye to his mother.
As Faith returns tonight, mending her relationship with Cain is certainly going to be a tough challenge.
