Taylor Sheridan is best known for bringing the Paramount Network’s epic Yellowstone franchise to screens, as well as writing, directing and producing many more acclaimed film and TV projects. For his next venture, Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman has been tapped to star alongside Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman in a thrilling real-life crime drama.

Morgan has officially joined the cast of Lioness, the new drama from writer-producer Taylor for Paramount+.

He will portray Secretary of State Edwin Mullins who heads up a female group of operatives tasked with taking down a terrorist organisation.

Newcomer Laysla De Oliveira will star as Cruz Manuelos alongside an all-star cast.

Morgan’s other TV credits include his recent Emmy-nominated turn in The Kominsky Method, and he is also well known for films like Bruce Almighty and The Dark Knight trilogy.
