This is the chilling moment a three-year-old girl accidentally shot herself after picking up an unattended gun in a Florida home.
Serenity had been sitting on the couch next to a relative who was watching football when the incident occurred on Saturday, surveillance camera footage shows.
She was transported to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital where she underwent surgery before being released from the hospital on Tuesday and returned home where she is now recovering, according to the girl’s grandmother, Robin Fuller.
Fuller posted the video on her Facebook page, captioned: ‘Video of when my granddaughter shot her self at her OTHER GRANDMA HOUSE.’
Orlando Young, a 23-year-old relative, was arrested in connection to the unattended gun at the home. Young is now facing charges of child neglect resulting in great bodily harm. He was released from jail on bond Tuesday night.

Young was watching a football game on Saturday at a home in the 11000 block of Southwest 220th Terrace, according to the outlet.
In the video, Serenity can be seen running to the couch and grabbing the gun left on it. Serenity’s four year old brother was close by.
Serenity was supposedly under the supervision of her other grandmother, Fuller told WSVN, but only Serenity, Young and the disabled adult were witnessed in the video.
The video shows Young get up off the couch and celebrate a touchdown when the girl begins to play with the gun. She then accidentally fired a round and shot herself in the hand.
‘It looks as if she is getting ready to pick up the gun, the gun went off and I guess the bullet went through her finger,’ Fuller said to the outlet.
There was a woman sitting on the couch but she was was reportedly disabled and unable to move.
Young told police that he momentarily left his firearm unattended on the couch while watching a football game on his laptop.
On Facebook, Fuller called out the other grandmother who was supposed to be watching her grandchild and accused her of negligence.

While Fuller expressed her concern and devastation, she said the outcome could have been even more devastating.
‘It could’ve been worse than this. I don’t appreciate it at all,’ she added.
She said the family is traumatized by the incident, but hopeful for Serenity’s recovery. She is hoping doctors can save her finger.
‘They are trying to save the finger so we are just going to pray that the blood flow goes back through,’ Fuller said to the outlet.
‘The police arrived because I called the police myself when I received the phone call and eventually the police arrived and they asked ‘Where is the baby?’ Fuller said to the outlet.
