One of Christine Blasey Ford’s attorneys criticized President Trump for mocking his client’s testimony during a campaign rally Tuesday night.
“A vicious, vile and soulless attack on Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Is it any wonder that she was terrified to come forward, and that other sexual assault survivors are as well?” tweeted Michael Bromwich, one-half of the legal team representing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s initial accuser. “She is a remarkable profile in courage. He is a profile in cowardice.”
While stumping for the midterms in Mississippi, the president mocked Ford for forgetting some of the details when recounting Kavanaugh’s alleged sexual misdeed.
“Thirty-six years ago, this happened, ‘I had one beer.’ Right? ‘I had one beer,’” Trump began. “How did you get home? ‘I don’t remember.’ How did you get there? ‘I don’t remember.’ How many years ago was it? ‘I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know.’”
