Flight attendant reveals grossest moment she’s experienced in the job: ‘There was pineapple in my bra!’
- Jetstar flight attendant Erika posted about a young passenger being sick on her
- A boy was trying to open an occupied toilet door, spun around to vomit on her
- She had to throw away all her clothes but still found ‘pineapple in my bra’
An Australian flight attendant has revealed one of her grossest moments on the job, when a child vomited on her so much that she was picking picking pineapple out of her bra afterwards.
Erika, who posts comic clips to TikTok about the real experiences of cabin crew, told Daily Mail Australia the incident happened about eight years ago on a domestic flight.
She had to clean off mid air, then survive the rest of the flight – and the smell – before landing.
When Erika arrived home, she threw away all her clothes and was mortified to find a piece of pineapple had become wedged in her bra from the boy’s vomit.

‘It’s not all glamour you know, we do get thrown up on, although I felt sorry for the other ladies who [were also vomited on] but weren’t able to go home,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
‘But I love what I do and I enjoy the people I work with, I haven’t had many bad experiences.’
The unforgettable incident occurred after she went to help a young boy who was struggling to open the toilet door, although it was occupied.
‘He’s going mad for it. And standing right behind him, I say ‘hey buddy, somebody’s in there, I’m sure they won’t be long,’ Erika said on her TikTok.
‘And he turned around and he spewed right here, in my face, in my throat and all down the front of my uniform … down into my shoes.’
‘I went straight home, walked into my shower, turned it on, peeled my clothes off in the shower. When I got down to my bra, I had pineapple… in my bra.
‘I’ll just let you know, everything I was wearing that day went into the bin. I wasn’t even going to try to clean that or put that in my washing machine.’
Erika said she was contacted by nurses over her viral TikTok clip and told ‘this is our life’.
‘They are the real heroes,’ she said.
Erika started posting behind the scenes clips from her job as an air hostess to help bring a smile to people’s faces.
‘My entire goal is to to support people’s mental health, everyone everyone suffers from mental health issues.’
