A WOMAN in her 20s has been arrested after the death of a baby girl in Exeter.
Cops dashed to a street in the Devon city at 9.30am on Sunday after concerns were raised for the tot's welfare.
The little one was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Her death is being treated as unexplained.
The woman has been quizzed by police and released on bail pending further investigation.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to an address in the Commercial Road area of Exeter by the ambulance service around 9.30am on Sunday, July 24 after concern was raised for the welfare of a baby girl.

"The child was taken to hospital where, sadly, she was pronounced as deceased.
"The death is being treated as unexplained.
"Police enquiries continue and officers await the results of a forensic post-mortem examination.
"A woman in her 20s has been arrested in connection with the investigation and released on police bail."
