A baby girl who died when her father "snapped" and shook her has been pictured for the first time.

Philip Peace was jailed for life on Friday after being found guilty of the murder of five-month-old Summer Peace.

Birmingham Crown Court heard the baby had become "difficult" to look after and was upset for more than an hour.

Peace was described as having "lost control" before he shook his child and also inflicted a blunt force trauma to her head, causing her to collapse and slip into cardiac arrest.

Summer died at Birmingham Children's Hospital the following day from her injuries.

Her father was found guilty following a five-week trial on Thursday, February 25, BirminghamLive reports.
