Embattled David Cameron is building the perfect place to escape the stresses of the lobbying row engulfing him – an upmarket ‘man cave’ at his £2 million Cornish hideaway.
These exclusive pictures show for the first time the games room that the former Prime Minister is having built in his garden.
The wooden-clad structure has 1,140 sq ft of floor space – enough for a badminton court, although more likely to house a snooker table when finished.

The expansion follows the installation of a £8,000 wood-fired hot tub and a £25,000 shepherd’s hut – to match the one he also has in his Cotswolds home – in the garden of the property in Trebetherick.
The application to build the games room was submitted to the local council in the name of Mr Cameron’s (pictured) wife, Samantha.

Neighbours had objected to the original proposal for a sloping roof, but revised plans for a flat roof covered with vegetation were accepted.
Mr Cameron is understood to have retreated to the Cornish bolthole, which he bought in 2017, following the revelations over his role lobbying for doomed Greensill Capital.
He was spotted walking around nearby Daymer Bay – a favourite haunt of Gordon Ramsay and the Beckhams – last Sunday, before returning to London.
