Boozy travellers start bonfires, dump rubbish and empty toilets at millionaires’ paradise Sandbanks – The Sun

BOOZY travellers have caused lockdown misery for wealthy residents on the Sandbanks resort after starting bonfires, dumping rubbish and emptying toilets.

A convoy of 10 motor homes pulled up at a carpark on the same Dorset street as football manager Harry Redknapp’s £3.5million mansion.

Men in the travelling group were spotted downing bottles of beer as they enjoyed the sun on the exclusive millionaires' row during a sizzling Bank Holiday weekend.

Disgruntled locals said the party drank throughout the afternoon and into the night with bonfires sparking up in the evening.

The group also dumped the waste from chemical toilets in nearby bushes and flouted covid-19 lockdown rules by staying the night.

Empty beer boxes were left scattered across the car park after the Bank Holiday and council refuse workers were sent to tidy up the rubbish.

One angry traveller was snapped urinating against the council truck in protest against the group being kicked off the car park.

Sandbanks is a small peninsula crossing the mouth of Poole Harbour on the English Channel coast in Dorset.

It is renowned for its highly regarded Sandbanks Beach, with the pricey properties making this the fourth highest land value in the world.

Redknapp is one of the most high profile residents in the area and boasts a stunning beach house complete with indoor pool and floor to ceiling windows.

The Sandbanks was packed with visitors yesterday as Brits hit beaches in their thousands as the mercury sizzled to 26C.
