Boy, 11, missing after telling his family he was going to park to play in East London

AN 11-year-old boy has vanished after telling his family he was going to a park to play in East London.

Laviniu Tinea left his Dagenham home last night – but hasn't been seen since.

Police have today launched a desperate hunt for the schoolboy, saying his family are "extremely concerned" for his welfare.

A Barking and Dagenham Police spokesperson said: "Laviniu Tinea, 11, has been missing from his home in Dagenham since yesterday evening after telling family he was going to a park to play.

"He has not returned home – police and family are extremely concerned for his welfare."

The 11-year-old is not believed to be carrying a phone, any money or an Oyster travel card.

They said: "Laviniu is said to look older for his age.

"He is eastern European, with black hair, wearing black tracksuit with red stripes down each side of trouser leg.

Anyone who sees Laviniu is asked to call police immediately on 101 quoting CAD 247/12 June or 19MIS0222222
