Brits eat two thirds of their meals ALONE each week… here's why | The Sun

BRITS eat around two thirds of their meals ALONE each week, mainly because they are too busy or distracted to find a companion.

A new survey of 2,000 adults ranked work emails and social media as the main two distractions at meal time.

Other major attention-grabbers were games consoles and phone calls.

Almost a third of those asked don't get to sit down with friends and family because schedules don't match up.

A similar number said it was because their nearest and dearest were always too busy.

Despite the seeming lack of ability to eat communally, bang on a third of Brits don't enjoy eating alone.
