Cape Cod Mall shelter-in-place order sees residents warned to stay 'away from windows' in Hyannis, Massachusetts

RESIDENTS near Cape Cod Mall, have been asked by police to shelter in place.

It’s unclear as to why residents were told to stay inside their homes.

The Barnstable Police did a reserve 911 call, urging residents not to leave their properties as they investigated the area.

However, police would not confirm what it is that they are investigating.

“Remain inside an interior room in your home, away from any windows.”

An all clear message will be given when the emergency has ended, police said.
