The 10 victims killed in the Boulder King Soopers shooting ranged in age from 20 to 65 — and were identified after medical examiners “worked overnight” to confirm their names and notify their families, police in the Colorado city said Tuesday.
Authorities identified those killed in the Monday attack as Denny Strong, 20, Neven Stanisic, 23, Rikki Olds, 25, Tralona Bratkowiak, 49, Suzanne Fountain, 59, Teri Leiker, 51, Eric Talley, 51, Kevin Mahoney, 61, Lynn Murray, 62, and Jody Waters, 65.
Talley, a police officer, responded to reports of the shooting at the King Soopers location Monday, while Olds, 25 was an assistant front-end manager working at the supermarket.
“Our hearts go out to all the victims killed during the senseless act of violence. We are committed with state, local and federal authorities for a thorough investigation and will bring justice to each of these families,” Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold told reporters.
Herold said the medical examiner’s officer worked into the early hours Tuesday to confirm the identities of the victims.
