POLICE are investigating a string of sexual assaults after teenage girls were reportedly attacked on Bournemouth Beach.
One man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault following the August 19 horror.
Police were called to the Dorset beach at around 2.45pm following reports a man was inappropriately touching teenage girls both in and out of the water.
The incidents unfolded near to the West Beach lifeguard tower.
Police say he was with a larger group of friends on the beach at the time.
The 26-year-old has since been released on police bail as investigative work continues.

Police have increased patrols in the seaside town which has been likened to the 'Wild West' due to the recent high crime rate.
It is the latest report of a sex attack to have taken place on the seafront this summer.
Attacks, including a rape on July 7, have also taken place on June 17 and 25.
Police Constable Alexandra Donnelly, of Dorset Police, commenting on the most recent reported assaults, said: "We have been continuing to investigate this matter and a suspect has been arrested in connection with these incidents.

"Following further enquiries, we have obtained additional information and I am now in a position to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
"I appreciate this was some time ago, but I would urge anyone who was on the beach that day who witnessed any suspicious activity or who may have captured any relevant mobile phone footage to please contact us.
"We understand that the man reportedly involved was part of a larger group at the beach and I am particularly keen to speak to any members of this group who can assist with our enquiries."
