Driver and two passengers suffer only minor injuries after their car collided with a TRACTOR and was crushed underneath the wheels

A driver and his two passengers were left with only minor injuries after their car was crushed underneath a tractor.
The crash happened on Sunnyside Road, Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, at about 10pm on Wednesday.

Three people in the car were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow while the driver of the tractor was unhurt.

Police Scotland said a 23-year-old man driving the car has been charged in connection with the incident.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and the car driver will appear in court at a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ‘We received a report of a crash involving a car and a tractor on Sunnyside Road, Coatbridge, around 10pm on Wednesday, 28 December, 2022.
‘The three occupants of the car were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. The driver of the tractor was not injured.
‘The 23-year-old male driver of the car has been charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.’
