Ellen Barkin has claimed the director of 1989’s hit Sea of Love ripped off her pubic wig and forced her to film completely nude because ‘nobody is looking at you.’ 

The Emmy award winning actress, 68, opened up about her misogynistic experiences in Hollywood throughout her four-decade career because she is ‘fresh out of all my f**ks’ to give. 

While on the set of 1989 film Sea of Love, featuring Al Pacino, Barkin claimed Harold Becker, now 94, ‘walked over and literally ripped my merkin off, taking some pubic hair with him.’ 

The director, who has made 21 films, said: ‘What do you need this for? Nobody’s looking at you,’ she told the HuffPost.

DailyMail.com has attempted to contact Barkin and Becker’s representatives.  

The Poker Face actress said it made her scene partner ‘terrified’ to film the raunchy and ‘very difficult’ scene, but Barkin brushed it off, saying: ‘This is what [the industry is] like.’ 

‘You do nothing,’ she said. ‘And I had an easy time with it, believe me.’ 

The actress also opened up about her time on the TNT set of Animal Kingdom, which she said was ‘not a pleasant place to work.’ 

She claimed ‘men used to come to my trailer and just scream at me’ and her character became severely underdeveloped as the seasons went on – despite her desperate plea to leave the show. 

‘My head just whipped around. I was like: “What the fuck is going on here?”‘ she told HuffPost. ‘Men used to come in my trailer and just scream at me. How’s that? With me pushing them out the door saying: “Get out of my trailer.” That’s what it was like for me to go to work.

‘I was like: “Wow, I hate these men.” Most of them were just like little boys.’

Becker and Sea of Love star Al Pacino at an unknown time. Pacino continued to work with Becker after Sea of Love came out in 1996 City Hall 

In addition, despite her pleas of ‘wanting out,’ the actress said ‘they didn’t kill me.’ 

‘I had been asking to leave for four years,’ she said. ‘Want to talk about treating women disrespectfully? On my show, there’s a young me. Oh, what is that?’ 

In recent years, the actress – who has starred in many movies, including the Switch, The Fan, and Ocean’s Thirteen – has spoken out against the toxicity in Hollywood and isn’t afraid to call out bad behavior in ‘bad-faith actors.’ 

‘The truth is, I am 68 years old,’ she told HuffPost. ‘I don’t give a f**k. I’m fresh out of all my f**ks.’ 

Despite all the bad sets she’s worked on, she said working on one episode of Poker Face made her feel safe. 

At the time of incident, Barkin wrote off the incident, saying: ‘This is what [the industry is] like’ (pictured: In Sea of Love) 

‘It’s a very safe environment,’ she recalled. ‘I was never taken care of like this. Never.’ 

Barkin was sick in bed when she got the call asking her to join the show, which is executively produced by Orange is the New Black star Natasha Lyonne. 

‘She’s got a shitload of women in these episodes,’ Barkin said of her costar. ‘And that’s what I care about.’ 

The actress – who appeared on one episode of Modern Family – also spoke about how she was type-cast throughout her career, going from ugly girlfriend to sex symbol. 

‘I was typecast first as the ugly girlfriend. And then I went right into the voracious sex symbol, and then I went to mean old lady. So it makes perfect sense — man’s view of me,’ she said.
