A football pundit sparked fears in his marraige after he spending Christmas alone after a £200,000 wedding.
Jermain Defoe, 40, spent his Christmas on the Caribbean island of St Lucia while his wife Donna stayed home in Glasgow.
The former Spurs and West Ham star was pictured without his wedding ring.
His wife Donna has gone back to using to her maiden name of Tierney on social media.

The 40-year-old has also unfollowed her husband on social media and neither has posted one another for more than eight weeks.
They have both removed pictures on Instagram of the OK! Magazine front cover which starred their wedding from last June.
The Sun on Sunday revealed Defoe had begged a nurse for sex just a month after getting married.
A source told the Sun said: ‘The marriage seems to be in trouble. You would think they would want to spend their first Christmas together as husband and wife but they haven’t so things aren’t looking at all good.’
For nearly two months there has been a noticeable silence.

Donna has only posted pictures of herself and her family and wished her 8,000 followers: ‘all the love and happiness in the world’, beneath a picture of her 12-year-old daughter unwrapping Christmas presents.
Donna suggested in an Instagram story that she was glad to see the back of 2022 — and was “looking ahead” to the New Year.
The Mail Online contacted Mr Defoe’s agent for a comment.
