THUNDERSTORMS and lightning will bash Britain in the coming days as Brits are warned to brace for high winds and heavy downpours.
Torrential rain and gales will arrive from Wednesday, pushing bad weather north across the country.
And it will come alongside longer spells of rain and strong winds expected to last all the way up to the weekend.
Thursday is expected to see the worst of the weather, with areas of persistent rain set to lash the south before clearing for sunshine.
While Friday is expected to be generally unsettled, with a mix of cloud and sharp showers forecast to pour down for many.
