Fiery crash in Lower Manhattan kills one and obliterates vehicle

One person was killed and another was left clinging to life due to a fiery four car-crash in Lower Manhattan early Saturday, officials said.

The smash-up occurred at Laight and West streets around 7:20 a.m., cops said.

Police were waiting to inform family of the deceased victim before releasing a name.

Another person was in critical condition and two had minor injuries, according to the FDNY. All were taken to Bellevue Hospital Center for treatment.

The circumstances of the crash were not immediately known.
