Sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is hosting etiquette classes for inmates at her Florida prison as she tries to reinvent herself as a female role-model, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

The disgraced socialite, 52, is serving a 20-year sentence for procuring girls for her late pedophile lover Jeffrey Epstein to degrade and abuse.

But that hasn’t stopped Maxwell from preaching about women’s empowerment and the need to ‘maintain high moral standards’ in the twice-weekly sessions for up to 40 cons.

‘Taught by Mrs. Maxwell this course teaches the three principles of etiquette – focusing on respect, consideration and honesty,’ reads a flyer pinned up inside Federal Correctional Institute Tallahassee.

Sources at the low-security lockup say the four-week program covers everything from having good manners to how to talk, dress and carry yourself in a job interview.

Oxford-educated Maxwell also talks about emulating powerful female figures, citing her former pal Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid as an example of how women can ‘smash the glass ceiling’.

The course also counts towards the First Step Act, meaning inmates including drug pushers, white-collar criminals and convicted murderers can shave up to 15 days off their sentences by attending.

It’s proven so popular that the notorious madam is hosting classes in both English and Spanish with the help of a Colombian inmate acting as a translator for the prison’s sizable Hispanic population.

‘It’s less about balancing books on heads and being ladylike, and more about having confidence in yourself – how to behave and talk in a professional manner, the secrets of success in the corporate world, that sort of thing,’ dished an insider.

‘Miss Maxwell’s message is, so what if you’re a woman and a convicted felon, you’re not a second class citizen. She’s an unlikely role model but she’s very passionate about this.’

Maxwell’s course ran from December 5 to 30 and a second round of lessons has been approved by prison authorities to start soon, our source added.

In the meantime Maxwell – prisoner 02879-509 but nicknamed Max by incarcerated pals – is also teaching a yoga class as well as working in the prison library, helping the 755-strong female population pick out books and periodicals.

She’s got daily access to an enviable array of sporting facilities including the 400-meter running track where DailyMail.com snapped the carefree con going for an hour-long jog in November.

Maxwell is the daughter of disgraced UK newspaper magnate Robert Maxwell. She was convicted in December 2021 of five counts of grooming minors for Epstein

Maxwell, daughter of disgraced UK newspaper magnate Robert Maxwell, was convicted in December 2021 of five counts of grooming minors for longtime confidante Epstein, who hanged himself in 2019.

After two years locked up at the fortress-like Metropolitan Detention Center in New York, where she complained of maggot infested meals and inhumane treatment, Maxwell was expected to serve her time in Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) Danbury – the Connecticut prison that inspired Orange is the New Black.

But without any explanation she was instead shipped 1,000 miles south in late July to the Sunshine State, where warped Epstein abused many of his victims at his Palm Beach mansion.

FCI Tallahassee – Maxwell’s prospective home until at least July 17, 2037 – is surrounded by a maze of 30ft fences and cameras but the elegant, red-brick building behind the rolls of jagged razor wire looks more akin to a high school or college campus.

Prior to her 2019 arrest, jet-setting Maxwell’s long list of high society pals included disgraced UK royal Prince Andrew and former President Bill Clinton.

Behind bars she hangs out with conwoman Linda Morrow, who helped her plastic surgeon husband bilk insurers out of $44 million by pretending cosmetic procedures such as tummy tucks, breast augmentations and ‘vaginal rejuvenations’ were medical necessities.

Morrow fled to Israel but was deported to the US in 2019 and jailed in July for more than eight years when a judge said the 70-year-old Coachella Valley-native’s ‘greed knew no bounds’.

Another pal is Narcy Novack, a 65-year-old Florida woman serving life without parole for hiring hitmen to murder her hotelier husband Ben Novak Jr. and his elderly mother Bernice in a grab for their family estate.

Bernice was battered to death with a plumber’s wrench at her Fort Lauderdale home in April 2009. Three months later Novak, a former stripper, let the assassins into her husband’s New York hotel suite where they slashed his eyes and clubbed him to death with dumbbells.

Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking a minor, transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and three counts of conspiracy after a federal trial in New York heard that she lured girls as young as 14 into Epstein’s clutches.

The disgraced Brit expressed remorse as she was handed down a 240-month sentence, telling her victims: ‘I hope my conviction and harsh incarceration brings you closure.’

However Maxwell has since appealed her conviction and sentence, her spokesman telling DailyMail.com in recent remarks: ‘Her spirits are holding up well as you might expect of an innocent woman.’
