‘America’s Mayor’ Rudy Giuliani hinted he gave the inspectors at the Gilgo Beach serial killer suspect’s home ‘a lead they seem to have rejected’ when he showed up at the crime scene over the weekend.
The former NYC mayor was reportedly driven up to the Long Island home of suspect Rex Heuermann, 59, as investigators continued loading boxes and bags of evidence into several large trucks parked out front.
Giuliani sat in the car and spoke with several law enforcement officers on the scene before driving away.
During the Sunday episode of Giuliani’s podcast ‘Uncovering the Truth with Rudy Giuliani,’ the one-time personal attorney to Donald Trump said that he gave cops a lead they seem to have rejected – though he did not elaborate on what that was.
He then gave a free tip to any prosecutor tasked with looking after this case: ‘Never ever try a case without going to the scene of the crime.’

‘Go there, stay there, and feel it,’ he added, noting that prosecutors should not let the crime be described to them by them by others – they need to be physically present themselves.
He continued: ‘relive what the criminal did and you will find – half the time, you will find blockbuster evidence.’
Giuliani praised investigators on his show – despite cops repeatedly failing to act on clues pointing to Heuermann since the case began.
‘The mayor commends all involved in the case, but knows there is still work to be done in order to deliver justice,’ said Ted Goodman, Giuliani’s political advisor.
Questions have been raised after it emerged the first generation Chevy Avalanche described by a Gilgo Beach witness in 2010 appears on Google Street View outside Heuermann’s ramshackle home.
Heuermann was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of murder in the first degree and three in the second degree over the deaths of Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy and Amber Costello, all of whom were part of the infamous ‘Gilgo Four.’
The bodies of four women were found along a short stretch of Long Island’s Ocean Parkway back in 2010.
Heuermann pleaded not guilty. Court documents say he is also the ‘prime suspect’ in the murder of the fourth woman whose body was found 13 years ago – Maureen Brainard-Barnes.
Heuermann is a Manhattan architect who resides in Long Island, close to the spots where the bodies were discovered.
Remains of more than 11 victims have been found in the area. Investigations into the other deaths are ongoing.
Law enforcement sources have told DailyMail.com Heuermann, an accomplished architect and father-of-two has been on their radar since last year.
Prosecutors allege he used burner phones and multiple email accounts to search for sites depicting sexual violence, to reach sex workers and to keep up with the investigation of the murders.

The calls were later traced to a location near Heuermann’s Manhattan office.
At that office, Heuermann built up a reputation redeveloping New York City’s skyline, and Heuermann, himself, has said he has worked for clients including Catholic Charitie, NYC Department of Environmental Protection Sewerage Treatment, American Airlines and other major tenants at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
He also allegedly used fake names for email accounts and phones ‘to conduct thousands of searches related to sex workers, sadistic, torture-related pornography and child pornography.’
Many of the search terms, prosecutors allege, focused on violent sexual acts involving minors.
Authorities say Barthelemy’s burner phone was also used to make ‘taunting phone calls’ to her family members in the days after her disappearance, in which a male voice admitting to killing and sexually assaulting her.
Investigators were back at the house Sunday to collect boxes upon boxes of evidence that were loaded into large vehicles.
