A bride was humiliated in front of her friends and family when the groom exposed her of cheating on their wedding day.

The couple, from China, hosted a banquet in their home town in Fujian province as they were invited to give a speech to their guests on a stage.

Video widely shared on Douyin, China's equivalent of TikTok, shows the pair walking up to the stage and facing the guests while they receive a round of applause.

An emcee then invites the guests to watch a clip of the couple's childhood memories.

As they all look up to the big LED screen behind the couple on the stage, the guests were shocked when they see the bride kissing another man in a bedroom.

The groom shouts at his wife-to-be: "So you think I didn't know about this?"

The bride's face turns red and throws her bouquet at her groom while other guests rush to the stage and separate the pair.

A screenshot of text messages indicated that the woman had been having an affair with her sister-in-law's husband.

The video has sparked a huge debate in China and some lauded the groom for paying "the best revenge" ever.

One said: "It must be a relief for him – to have kept this to himself all the time and waited for this moment."

"He did this on his wedding to tell his friends and family altogether, smart," a second said.

But some said it was not worth to sacrifice a dream wedding to expose the cheating couple.

According to reports, the groom claimed he would not want to have babies with his cheating bride as he told her he wanted a divorce.

The brother-in-law allegedly threatened to seek legal advice if the groom refused to delete the sex tape.
