Hamas has accused Israel of not fulfilling its part of the ceasefire deal.

The terror group claimed on Saturday afternoon that 340 aid trucks had entered Gaza since Friday – 65 of which had reached northern Gaza, the area of the Strip most affected by the fighting as it has been the stage of the IDF’s ground operation since late October.

However, 65 trucks are less than half of what Israel had agreed to as part of the deal brokered by Egypt and Qatar, Hamas claimed. Israel and Hamas are in the midst of a ceasefire, set up to allow humanitarian aid into war-torn Gaza and release a portion of the hostages captured by the terror group during its harrowing rampage in southern Israel on October 7.

Despite the terror group’s claim, on Saturday two waves of hostages were successfully released. While the deal has been brokered for a four-day truce, Egypt and the US said yesterday there appeared to be the possibility to extend the ceasefire.

Hours later, senior Israeli official Mark Regev said his government was “willing to extend the humanitarian pause for an additional day for 10 additional hostages to be released”.

Two Palestinians ‘shot dead by Israeli forces in West Bank’

Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces during two separate incidents taking place in the West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said.

One victim was reportedly killed in Nablus, while the second one was killed in Jenin.

A total of six Palestinians reportedly died overnight, as tensions in the territory remain high despite the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza.
