A handcuffed man made a dramatic escape from a Brooklyn police car early Saturday — possibly through the window of the cruiser, cops said on Saturday.
Tyrone Johnson, 24, was nabbed on a drug charge just before 4:30 a.m. at Osborn Street and Lott Avenue in Brownsville, police said.
On the way to the 73rd Precinct station house, Johnson bolted — with his hands still cuffed behind his back, cops said. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he broke the patrol car window, or it was already open.
Johnson is about 5-foot-9 and 150 pounds, with a dark complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and dark colored jeans.
He has 16 prior arrests for offenses that include grand larceny, robbery, gun possession and criminal mischief. Police released a mugshot of Johnson from a December 2017 drug and paraphernalia possession bust, also in Brooklyn.
