Hearings commence at Victorian contact tracing inquiry

The Victorian Upper House committee inquiry into the state's contact tracing begins hearings today.

The first witnesses today are from Salesforce with Australia and New Zealand chief executive Pip Marlow and principal archtect Michael Bonaddio set to give evidence for an hour from 9am.

They will be followed by the Australian Medical Association's Julian Rait, Office of the Information Commissioner commissioner Sven Bluemmel and privacy and data collection ceputy commissioner Rachel Dixon.

Around lunchtime the committee will hear from Barwon Health department of infectious diseases director Eugene Athan and deputy director Daniel O’Brien and then Deakin University faculty of health Professor Catherine Bennett
