Two Florida women have been arrested and charged with felony child abuse after disturbing footage emerged of the pair tossing a baby ‘like a toy’, possibly breaking the infants’ arm.
The horrifying moment was filmed by concerned strangers and surveillance footage outside the Coyote Ugly Saloon on Seabreeze Boulevard, Daytona Beach on Thursday September 14.
Brianna Lafoe, 19, and Sierrah Newell, 20, were arrested in bikinis outside the bar in the early hours when police responded to a call from concerned onlookers, local news reported.
Lafoe can be seen in the bar’s surveillance footage throwing the baby up and down above her head before carelessly holding the infant flipped to the side while confronting the onlookers.
The baby was taken to Halifax Health ‘with red marks on his back’ where an X-ray revealed a mark that ‘could indicate a broken arm,’ a police affidavit of the incident states.

Lafoe was also charged with battery and held on $3,500 bond. Newell has since been released, the New York Post reported.
A witness, who took a video of the shocking incident which has not been made public, told police the women were intoxicated and had thrown the child around and flipped him upside down outside the bar.
They tossed the baby back and forth ‘like a toy’ over a distance of about 4 feet, according to the police report.
Newell reportedly threatened bystanders who attempted to intervene, police said.
The woman, whilst holding the baby, then allegedly marched up to one of the bystanders and struck her.
‘She started throwing the baby up and down a little too aggressively,’ witness Jahada Rasheed told WESH.
‘Then she put the baby upside down. It was like hold up. This is getting way too far,’ Rasheed told the outlet.
Lafoe, meanwhile, also flipped the baby upside down by his ankles and tried to hit the woman with one of Newell’s crutches, according to the affidavit.
She also ‘actually and intentionally struck (the woman who was initially recording) on the right arm with an open hand,’ police said in the affidavit.

It is not clear who the baby belongs to but Newell’s mother was at the scene during the incident and the Department of Children and Families is investigating whether she can take custody of the child, according to Fox 35.
Police later confirmed that the child had been released from the hospital.
