Multiple people have been injured after a gunman reportedly opened fire at a packed hospital in Memphis.
Police have confirmed at least eight people have been shot in the incident and the hospital is in lockdown.
It's been reported that the shooting occurred outside the entrance to the city's Methodist North Hospital emergency room.

Police rushed to the scene at around 12:47 a.m this morning (August 16) where they found multiple people injured.
The condition of the victims is currently unknown.
ABC24 reports that police found a shot-out silver sedan stopped outside the hospital grounds.
It was riddled with over 20 bullet holes in its side.
As of yet, it is unknown if the gunman has been apprehended.
Although little is currently known about the heartbreaking incident, many Memphis locals have taken to social media to mourn the latest act of violence.
One person tweeted: "A shoot-out at a HOSPITAL in Memphis! THE VIOLENCE in this city is suffocating!"
