A FAMILY acquaintance of a murdered CEO has been arrested for allegedly shooting the victim as he lay in bed with his wife.
Arlington resident Joshua Daniel Danehower, 33, is being accused of firing multiple rounds at a sleeping Gret Glyer, 32, in his Virginia home on Friday.
Police found Glyer with multiple gunshot wounds at 3am Friday after responding to his wife's 911 call, officials said at a press conference.
He was declared dead on the scene.
Officials arrested Danehower Tuesday night once interviews connected him to the crime.
He was arrested at Dulles International Airport where he worked.

Officers have revealed that Danehower was an acquaintance of Glyer but did not specify the nature of their relationship, Fox 5 reported.
A 911 dispatcher said that Dyer's wife, "heard a loud noise and believes her husband has been shot," the night of the incident.
"She believes someone came into the house."
Upon arrival, police found that the back door was open but did not indicate whether or not it was forced.

The couple's two children were also in the house during the incident, but they were unharmed.
Glyer's wife Heather issued a statement where she thanked law enforcement and the "outpouring of support," from her community.
"Gret was my best friend and an incredible husband and father," Heather wrote.
"He had an amazing heart for helping the people who need it most, and I know that legacy will live on.
"I know that God is with me and has a plan for my life and for the lives of our children.
"We would appreciate your prayers."
The slain CEO founded an online giving platform called DonorSee that organized crowdfunding for humanitarian projects.
DonorSee created an initiative to raise money for its founder.
"He has left a legacy that will live on through DonorSee of changing the world for the better and helping those who need it most," the organizer wrote.

Danehower is being hit with second-degree murder and firearms charges, WUSA reported.
He is currently being held on no bail.
