THIS is the eerie moment Disney World is left deserted after it closed due to Hurricane Matthew for only the fourth time in its history.
Usually teeming with thousands of visitors, the theme park was lashed by rains and 100mph winds during the storm.
Footage taken of the park shows empty roads where cars and families were just days ago enjoying sunshine and warm weather.
Hurriane Matthew forced the first closure of the theme park in 11 years after a state of emergency was declared ahead of its arrival in Florida.
Tens of thousands of Brits are thought to have been caught up in the chaos with 1.4million visiting the state every year for attractions such as Disney World and Universal Studios.
