A MAN has admitted he won't be buying his family Christmas presents this year amid the cost of living crisis.
Nigel Anderson, from Grimsby, said he can't afford to pay the bills and celebrate the festive season as inflation hits a 41-year high.
Struggling to make ends meet, Nigel and his wife have been forced to cancel Christmas in their household.
The couple aren't currently working and are living off benefits – but say this year has been the biggest struggle for them.
Due to his wife's disabilities, Nigel is her full-time carer and unable to get another job.
He told GrimsbyLive: "We've already got the turkey and all the food, but we just can't afford to buy Christmas presents.
