A KILLER grandson who stabbed his gran 17 times as she lay in the bath has been jailed.
Sue Addis, 69, was attacked by drug addict Pietro Addis, 19, following a row over his cannabis use.
The popular gran, who ran a celeb haunt restaurant in Brighton, was later found in the bloody bath after being knifed 17 times.
Addis then called 999 himself, saying: "I’m calling to turn myself in.
"There’s been a murder.”
Addis was today jailed for 15 years after he admitted manslaughter on the basis that his responsibility was diminished by a brief and transient paranoid psychosis.

In a victim impact statement, Sue's sons – Addis' uncles – said: "The biggest punishment for him is knowing what he has done.
"We want him to have a go at life and mum would too."
Lewes Crown Court heard Addis had been taking medication for his ADHD but he also smoked cannabis and took other drugs.
He began skipping college and failed to show up for shifts at Brighton family restaurants Donatello’s and Pinocchio’s.

Addis moved in with his gran during December 2020 after a row with his dad.
On January 7, 2021, the aspiring chef walked into the bathroom where Sue was in the tub and stabbed her.
He then changed his clothes and called the police, where he was later arrested.
During a trial, one forensic psychiatrists told jurors Addis had suffered from a psychotic episode.
But another expert said the killing was more likely to have been a "flash of anger".
Tragically, Sue had been in the process of looking for help in dealing with her grandson before she was killed.
She had told friends she wanted to get Addis professional help and had researched spaces at The Priory.
Detective Superintendent Mark Chapman, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: “This is a tragic case in which a much-loved grandmother, who was widely respected in the Brighton and Hove community, has lost her life in the most terrible circumstances.
“Our thoughts remain with the Addis family and loved ones who have behaved with dignity and compassion throughout this harrowing ordeal.”
