The monogram of King Charles III has been praised as a “design classic,” by a leading expert.
The new graphic will be used on Government buildings, state documents and some post boxes, and will be rolled out over the coming months and years.
Featuring the initials C for Charles and R for Rex, meaning King in Latin, the logo also features III within the R, and a crown sitting on top of the letters.

Charles personally selected the cypher from a number of designs prepared by the College of Arms.
A version featuring the Scottish Crown was also created and approved by Lord Lyon King of Arms.
The process will take years to roll out – the cyphers of former monarchs can still be found on public buildings and street furniture.
And graphic designer and YouTuber Linus Boman has told how impressed with King Charles III's choice of cypher.
He said: “As a monogram, it (the III in the middle) strikes a nice balance between the positive and negative space.
“Considering just how widely used it will be, not only in Britain but around the Commonwealth in the years ahead, I think King Charles' cypher is a very well-designed example.
“These symbols are part of a long-held tradition, but good design is always truly timeless.”

The College of Arms, which designed the cyphers, was founded in 1484 and is responsible for creating and maintaining official registers of coats of arms and pedigrees.
The heralds who make up the college are members of the Royal Household and act under Crown authority.
The new cypher will be rolled out across the country later this year, but will still be seen alongside the-late Queen's monogram – and even King George IV's on rare postboxes in certain areas of the country.
