LEE Rigby’s mum has marked her murdered son’s birthday by relaunching his charity.
Lyn Rigby, 52, had been helping bereaved military families after being gifted a foundation HQ on the estate of TV wrestler Kendo Nagasaki.
She had to quit when Kendo, 77, real name Peter Thornley, hit financial problems.
A new base has opened in Cheadle, Staffs, and Lyn said: “We’ve been to hell and back in the last few months. Everything we worked for crumbled. But we refuse to be beaten and can come back stronger than ever.”
Fusilier Lee was killed by Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale as he walked to his barracks in Woolwich, South East London, in 2013.
Lyn added: “Lee would be 32 now. His birthday is such a stark reminder of what I have lost. But it’s also the driving force that keeps me going.
“Lee is at the heart of everything we do. I wish I could bring him back.
