Man accused of killing parents, shooting at ex-wife dead after police manhunt

A man in suburban Philadelphia allegedly shot at his ex-wife and then gunned down his parents at a retirement home on Wednesday, officials said.

CBS News and WCAU-TV both reported early Thursday morning that 59-year-old suspect Bruce Rogal of Glenmoore, Pa., was dead after being on the lam for several hours.

Rogal had recently received papers that finalized his divorce and awarded his home to his ex-wife — and “that appears to be what set him off today,” according to Chester County DA Tom Hogan.

The suspect first went to West Bradford Township home of his ex-wife and opened fire on her in the driveway, but missed, Hogan said.

Then the gunman traveled to the Bellingham Assisted Living Center in East Goshen Township, where he shot and killed his parents, William and Nancy, both in their late 80s, at about 6:15 p.m., the prosecutor said.

Rogal had been last seen driving a 2002 silver Honda Odyssey with Pennsylvania plate ENN-3549, officials said.
