Man in his 30s is stabbed to death during brawl on Isle of Dogs estate – as police launch London’s 94th murder probe of 2021

  • Police were called to reports of a fight in East Ferry Road, Isle of Dogs, London
  • They found a man, believed to be in his 30s, suffering stab wounds at the scene
  • Despite treating the injured man, who has not yet been named, he died at scene
  • Police are now working to confirm the man’s identity and inform his next of kin 

A man has been stabbed to death during a mass brawl in a London street.

Police rushed to the Isle of Dogs, east London, around 8.30pm last night after reports of a group of males fighting.

When they arrived at the scene, in East Ferry Road, they found a man – believed to be aged in his 30s – suffering from stab wounds.

Officers attempted to help the man – by administering CPR – prior to the arrival of  London Ambulance Service paramedics.

Despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are working to confirm the man’s identity and inform his next of kin.

Enquiries are ongoing and a crime scene is in place. Police have not yet said if there has been an arrest.

The stabbing comes after the Metropolitan Police launched their 93rd murder investigation of 2021 last week.

Officers launched the prober after a man in his 40s was found with suspected stab wounds outside Belvedere railway station in south London on September 18.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
