Meghan ‘snubbed’ by royal fan in awkward moment at Windsor walkabout

Meghan Markle has been caught on camera apparently getting snubbed by a fan as she walked around in Windsor.

Back in the UK with Prince Harry, the couple had been taking a walk and greeting well-wishers near the boys’ grandmother’s preferred southern residence when the incident took place.

Despite a generally positive reaction from the crowd one unnamed woman opted to snub the former Suits star when she tried to shake her hand.

The awkward moment was shared on social media, with the 41-year-old Duchess left with an outstretched hand while the woman refused to extend her own.

They had been taking part in the Windsor walkabout with the Prince and Princess of Wales, saying hello, speaking and spending time with those who had come out to pay respects to the Queen.

Mum of two Meghan certainly took the moment in her stride though, swiftly moving on to the next person without breaking step or rhythm and certainly not letting the moment bother her – at least publicly.

After the snub, she just moved on as if nothing happened, MailOnline reports.

The woman was later picked up on camera having a snigger with a pal about the frosty moment that had just occurred.

Some people in the UK have been frustrated with Meghan and Harry since their decision to move to the USA and step back as senior royals.

A series of media storms and interviews have only served to deepen tensions between the US and UK-based factions of the family.

However, there has been a hushed optimism in the past few days that the loss of the Queen might perhaps bring the two brothers back together.

Initial hopes were dashed when Harry travelled to Balmoral on the news the Queen had grown increasingly unwell. They were sunk further when he left alone too.

However, the Windsor walkabout and the intense emotions flying across the country in the coming days will, many hope, provide a reminder of what is really important in life.
