President Donald Trump set out on his historic post-presidential journey from Mar-a-Lago to New York for booking without the company of former first lady Melania Trump or son Barron.
Trump flew to New York on the eve of his arraignment in the Stormy Daniels investigation along with a series of close aides, among them former White House aide Margo Martin, advisor Jason Miller, and longtime aide Dan Scavino.
Some of his aides were seen boarding his Boeing 757 emblazoned with the Trump logo for a flight whose movements were carried live on cable networks.

The trip came as it was revealed that Trump was adding still another lawyer to his stable of attorneys, white collar New York criminal defense lawyer Todd Blanche. who previously represented former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort, who was jailed on corruption charges.
Trump flew from Mar-a-Lago, his private Florida club, to New York’s LaGuardia airport as he prepared to be arrested and fingerprinted in the Stormy Daniels case in criminal court in Manhattan.
Melania Trump famously spent months in the couple’s Trump Tower apartment at the start of the Trump presidency.
Daniels claims she had a sexual affair with Trump in 2006, a month after Melania gave birth to Barron, who is now 17.
She spoke in Trump’s defense during the ‘Access Hollywood’ scandal late in the 2016 campaign.
Despite her absence, Melania Trump is backing her husband, a source told DailyMail.com last week.
‘Mrs. Trump is strong. She is focused on her family and stands behind her husband, as she always has,’ said the source. ‘For the past 7 years, the left has made multiple attempts to smear and attack her family and this is just the latest attempt to bring him down.’
