Melania Trump ‘is lying very low’ and is ‘concerned with protecting her son Barron’ as drama swirls in Mar-a-Lago around Don’s possible indictment
- Melania Trump has reportedly been lying low and avoiding events at Mar-a-Lago
- Others in Trump’s inner circle are said to be excited over possible indictment
- They see Manhattan criminal case as a way to energize Trump’s base
Melania Trump is maintaining a low profile at Mar-a-Lago, and is concerned with the potential impact on son Barron if her husband is indicted, according to a new report.
While Donald Trump has stuck to his usual routines, and some in his inner circle are energized by the prospect that an indictment could pump up his base, ‘Melania is lying very low,’ PageSix reported on Thursday, citing a source.
‘She hasn’t been coming out for the dinners and events at Mar-a-Lago. He is acting like everything is normal, but she hasn’t been social,’ the person said.
‘She wants to be away from it. She wants to protect Barron,’ who is now 17, the person added.
Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, and her husband, Jared Kushner, both former White House advisors, are also said to be maintaining their distance, after indicating they would not participate in his 2024 presidential campaign.

Former President Donald Trump was spotted playing golf at his course in West Palm Beach, Thursday as he waits to see whether a grand jury in New York will hand down an indictment
Trump, meanwhile, has stuck to business as usual, and on Thursday was spotted looking carefree as he shot a round of golf at his course in West Palm Beach.
The former president’s most ardent supporters have rallied to his cause after he announced that he would be arrested this week, staging demonstrations outside his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach.
However, Trump’s prediction that he would be arrested this past Tuesday did not come to pass, and the grand jury in Manhattan was sent home until next week at the earliest before any vote on a historic indictment of the former president.
The grand jury has been hearing allegations about hush money paid on Trump’s behalf during the 2016 presidential campaign to a porn star who says she had a sexual encounter with him years earlier. Trump denies the affair and any wrongdoing.
The pause in the New York grand jury room has triggered speculation among Trump and his supporters that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has suffered a setback in his case.
Trump on Thursday claimed there was ‘total disarray’ in his office, and demanded that Bragg drop the case.
In a post to his Truth Social platform Thursday night, he ominously warned of the ‘potential death & destruction in such a false charge’, saying it would be ‘catastrophic for our Country’.

Without naming Bragg, he called the prosecutor ‘a degenerate psychopath that truely [sic] hates the USA!’
But in between issuing statements and posting to Truth Social, he also shared an image of the actor and supporter John Voight on the golf club’s driving range.
Later he could be seen in the afternoon in his trademark red MAGA cap and white, club polo shirt sharing some pointers with a pretty blonde in a short blue skirt.
Members Bob Curcio and James Tomasello made up the party. Trump also mingled with diners in the club grill room.
‘Isn’t it terrible that D.A. Bragg refuses to do the right thing and “call it a day?”‘ he posted on his Truth Social platform later in the day.
‘He would rather indict an innocent man and create years of hatred, chaos, and turmoil, than give him his well deserved “freedom.”
‘The whole country sees what is going on, and they’re not going to take it anymore.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (pictured Thursday arriving at his office) will not convene the grand jury for the hush money case against Trump.
‘They’ve had enough! There was no error made, no misdemeanor, no crime and, above all, NO CASE. They spied on my campaign, Rigged the election, falsely ‘Impeached, cheated and lied. They are HUMAN SCUM!’ added Trump.
Security remained heavy outside the Manhattan grand jury location as well as Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Thursday.
There was no explanation from prosecutors on why the panel had not met on Wednesday or heard from Trump-related witnesses on Thursday.
The grand jury is an investigative panel, meaning it hears about other cases in addition to the Trump matter. The jury does not meet on Fridays.
