‘I survived four years in Pakistan hell hole jail after being caught trying to smuggle £1M of heroin into Ireland’: Czech model feared she was going to die when drugs were found in her luggage – and tells how she was kept ‘like an animal’ in prison cell

  • She went through ‘horrors’, was ‘lured’ to country and worked as private escort

A Czech woman jailed in Pakistan for attempting to smuggle £1million of heroin into Ireland has released a series of ‘no holds barred’ videos ‘to tell her story’.

Detailing the ‘horrors she went through’, how she was ‘lured’ to the country, and how she worked as a private escort, Tereza Hluskova said that ‘after much thought’, she had ‘decided to let people know what really happened’.

Arrested in January 2018 in possession of 19 lbs (8.5kg) of heroin at Lahore’s AIIama IqbaI International airport, Hluskova, who was then 22, had been heading to Ireland via Dubai.

Seized by customs officials, Hluskova said that she had gone to Pakistan to work as a model and that someone had put the narcotics into her luggage.

She thought the police were ‘going to kill her’ and described how in prison she was locked up ‘like an animal’, beaten and had to deal with scorching summers and freezing winters.

Arrested in January 2018 in possession of 19 lbs (8.5kg) of heroin at Lahore’s AIIama IqbaI International airport, Hluskova, who was then 22, had been heading to Ireland via Dubai.

In a video released online, a Pakistani customs official is shown discovering the drugs hidden in the suitcase while Hluskova looks on.

She is then seen putting her head in her hands.

In 2019, she was sentenced to eight years and eight months in prison.

But after a series of appeals she was released in 2022 having served just four years of her sentence.

Now, the woman has released four ‘confessional’ videos detailing how she ended up in Pakistan.

Dropping out of school in her home town of Uherské Hradiště, she started work in a cafe where she was eventually offered a job as an escort.

Saying the ‘conditions seemed favourable’ she was flown to Belgium where she was taken ‘under the wing of a woman called Sara’.

Hluskova said: ‘She first wanted to check whether I was suitable for the job.

‘She told me to go and have sex with her husband to check if I’m worth it or not. And so I did what I had to do.’

To ‘cope’ with the 45-year-old man with a villa and a pool, Hluskova said she turned to drugs and alcohol to ‘release her inhibitions and fear’.

Adopting the name Jennifer, she said she ‘learned to shut down emotions during intimate moments with clients.’

She said: ‘I felt almost nothing at all. Maybe the problem was that I drank a lot.

‘I had plum juice in one hand, vodka in the other, and in two hours I was lying there and they had to resuscitate me.’

‘A prostitute doesn’t enjoy sex, because in order to survive, she has to switch to robot mode and work.’

She added: ‘The man patted my leg and I knew that my work was about to begin. I went with him and it was brutal. Water bed, pool view, but I honestly don’t remember anything about it.

‘At that moment, I was off my head because of the drugs and alcohol.

‘About an hour later Sara turned up. She prepared another line of coke for me on the table, said that I would be fine, and left again.’

The next day, a friend took her to a Belgian bar where escorts went to meet their clients.

Wearing a tight black mini dress and high heels, Hluskova revealed: ‘I had a meeting there with a man named Ludo, all I knew was that he had red glasses and a moustache.

‘When I reached for the doorknob, I thought I was going to throw up or run away. But I said no. I was already in it so I entered.’

Following a brutal beating from a Turkish client who after sex tried to suffocate her, Hluskova said she took ‘revenge’ by telling her pimp what had happened.

Hluskova said strangers approached her and put ornaments in her luggage and that she had no idea they were full of drugs

In November last year, a man was jailed for three years after he threatened terrorist attacks on Pakistan if Hluskova (pictured) was not released

She said: ‘I told the guys how he treated me, and then they gave him hell.’

The blonde was then told her she was being sent the UK to do some erotic photo modelling and to get a visa before flying to Pakistan.

Staying in Manchester with a man from Pakistan who was arranging her visa, she was then told she’d be travelling to the country via France.

She said: ‘Now I wonder how I could have been so stupid that there were such detours when it was supposed to be a direct flight from England to Pakistan. But I didn’t realize it at the time.’

When she finally arrived in Pakistan, she said she was horrified.

She said: ‘It was a disaster. Dirt everywhere on the ground, not even sidewalks, but scattered dirt.’

Moving into a house without electricity with her ‘keeper’ who had travelled with her from France, Hluskova said she had been afraid to go outside because she thought the people in ‘typical Islamic dress were hospital patients.’

Describing the photoshoot she said: ‘They took me to a kind of field where there was only dirt and four big stones.

‘Well, I thought to myself that they probably don’t have money for a studio.’

She said she then spent two months waiting for the photos to appear online but ‘they were never there’.

Finally being told she could return home, Hluskova was arrested at the airport after customs officers found nearly 9kg of heroin in her luggage.

Video footage taken at the time shows officials rummaging through her baggage.

When they find the drugs, Hluskova is seen breaking down in tears.

In her latest video, Hluskova said : ‘I thought they were gong to kill me.

‘I admire the person who comes out of prison and is completely fine.

‘I still have it [the experience] inside me. Now and then I remember how they woke us up, how the girls beat us and how cold it was there.

‘I had no medical help, I had to help myself, I was crying. ‘I’ll have it in me for the rest of my life.

‘You could have had a headache or tuberculosis. The summer was quiet, hot as in a sauna, so I soon sweated out the flu.

‘But in winter? I was not warmed by a blanket, nor a sweatshirt, nor hot tea. And on top of that a cold and a cough.

‘Sometimes I close my eyes and feel what’s there again. How terrible we were.

‘No family, locked up like animals, humiliation. And I try to shake such thoughts out of my head right away, but sometimes it doesn’t go away right away.’

Promising to reveal more of her experiences in future videos, the now 27-year-old who works as a waitress said: ‘Now I have a job, I have a boyfriend and I’ve dyed my hair blonde again.

‘A person who has been in prison for four years has to get used to socialising again.’
