A DOTING dad was horrified to learn why his son came home from school with his hand covered in marks.
Matthew Beard, from London, shared a photo of his son Harry's hand after he found out he'd drawn them himself for a heartbreaking reason.
The dad-of-three revealed each line represented a time he had been bullied over two days.
He said: "My son has been at high school for just over a week.
"On his hand here he’s made a record of how many times in the last two days he has been bullied, verbally or physically.
"In total 21. It’s heartbreaking. Schools need to come down harder on bullies, their parents should be fined."

In a second post, the caring dad said he shared the photo because it was "powerful".
He added: "He wanted to show us how often it’s happened in two days of school.
"You just don’t know what goes on & you expect you kids to be safe at school.
"I’m sure it will all sort itself out."

The post has garnered over 400 reactions in less than 24 hours.
Some people who saw the post have offered their sympathies while others gave some advice.
One person said: "By talking about it with you he's already jumped the first biggest hurdle which many don't. Let's hope the school will do something about it! Lots of love and positive energy for Harry."
Another wrote: "Well done Harry for talking about it that's a big step in itself. Just remember your not on your own and you have plenty of people who care and will help and support you. I hate bullies no need."
In one bizarre message, a Twitter user tried to urged Matthew to teach Harry to fight back.
It said: "Why don't you teach your son to fight back, I was once bullied and it affected me because i was scared to be laughed at I took on a decision that's affecting me today.
"It better to fight back early . Teach him how to defend himself now or never."
A teacher who saw the post admitted bullying was much more common than people thought.
She said: "More often or not your HOD or safeguarding leads know, yet they themselves are scared of the culprits.
