The family of a 15-year-old boy who was found dead on the side of a road are desperate to find out what happened to him.
Braydon Worldon’s body was spotted by a driver at 1.30am the day after he celebrated his birthday with loved ones.
His mum and dad don’t know why he was on the road at that time of the morning, but believe he might have been walking to his great nan’s house.
Braydon, who lived in New South Wales, Australia, wasn’t carrying his mobile phone or any money when he died.
Speaking through tears, his distraught mum Crystal Worldon told 7 News her son was "always very kind".
She said: "He looked after everyone. I want to know the truth."
His great-grandmother June said it "didn’t make any sense".
She said: "We’re all upset — he had a heart of gold.
“His mother is devastated, she says everywhere I go I see his clothes around the house. I’ve got Christmas presents for him here waiting.
"We find out what happened. Time will tell."
According to news.com.au, police are keeping an "open mind" about how he died, but they are investigating the possibility of a hit and run.
Superintendent Bob Noble from the Crash Investigation Unit said: "It (was) very dark, it’s a country road — potentially someone may have been involved in an accident or something might have occurred and the driver of a heavy vehicle may not know or have realised."
