A nanny to the stars who raised £190,000 for Ukrainian refugees is among Britons honoured for their response to the Russian invasion.
Louenna Hood, 37, launched an appeal on social media to raise £500 for families fleeing the war. She was stunned by the response and up to 40 volunteers were drafted in to process donations.
Ms Hood, of Newmarket, Suffolk, was handed a British Empire Medal.
The nanny, who has worked for a secret roster of famous clients including international royals, said: ‘It really just broke my heart to think that people were being told to leave their homes…

‘So offering some aid and comfort in those first few weeks was really important.’
The British ambassadors in Kyiv and Moscow, Melinda Simmons and Deborah Bronnert, received damehoods for services to foreign policy.

Three other diplomats at the embassies – Kate Davenport, Sarah Docherty and Nicolas Harrocks – were given OBEs.
Meanwhile, writer Catherine Belton, who was sued for defamation by Russian oligarch and former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, has been made an MBE for services to journalism.
