Police are on the hunt for a suspected knifeman following a spree of ‘random’ attacks in Manchester have left four people injured.
Detectives have released images of a man they would like to speak to as part of their ongoing enquiries.
The four knife attacks, which happened in the area of Cheetham Hill in the north of the city, happened in the late evening and early hours of this morning.
Greater Manchester Police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe could help with their investigation, as they search for a suspected knifeman after four people were injured
The four attacks, which all involved the use of a knife, happened in north Manchester last week.
All victims received non-life-threatening injuries but continue to be supported by specialist cops as the investigation continues.
Greater Manchester Police said the incidents were being taken ‘very seriously’ and the force were ‘conducting all lines of enquiry’.
Patrols are also being ramped up in the area.
CCTV footage of a man detectives believe could ‘assist with their investigation’ have been released.
Detective Inspector Michael Russell, of the City of Manchester North District, said: ‘We believe these assaults are random attacks and will obviously cause some serious concern to the local community.
‘I can assure residents in the area we are taking these incidents very seriously and conducting all lines of enquiry to ensure we find the person responsible.
‘We have increased patrols in the local area and will continue to do so, but if you have any concerns at all, please do talk to our local officers for reassurance and guidance as we are continuing to exhaust all available lines of enquiry to ensure we can continue to keep our communities safe.’
