Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been forced into a rethink after the release of their reported Netflix docuseries has allegedly been delayed, according to a royal commentator.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed up to Netflix with their Archewell foundation after leaving the Royal Family in early 2020.
This included a deal for a documentary on Harry’s involvement with the Invictus Games, but fans have also speculated that a docuseries about their private lives may be in the works, after the Sussexes were spotted being followed by camera crews.

Now, though, after the Queen’s unexpected death last month, royal commentator Neil Sean has suggested that the couple may have had to slow their plans for a reality series.
“It appears that Harry and Meghan are having something of a rethink about this particular project,” Neil told viewers of his YouTube channel.
“A good source that currently works out at Netflix told me this, allegedly, it was dull; there’s nothing much in there, it’s not really a docuseries.
“If you look at the bigger picture, they’ve got a situation where they’ve got footage from when they went to New York over a year ago, the Invictus Games footage from the Netherlands, and then we believe some footage from the Platinum Jubilee.
“Nothing will be included, of course, from the recent funeral of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and rightly so.”
The former royals were in the UK when news of the monarch’s death broke, and they remained in the country for the period of mourning with their family members, with Meghan postponing the release of her weekly podcast series.
But, after returning to their celebrity lives in the US, the royal commentator claimed that the couple need to do something radical to remain in the spotlight.
“What bosses at Netflix had hoped to do, was to have this out by November, around about the same time as the next big series of The Crown… But now that’s been delayed,” he claimed.
“A lot of people are saying, ‘will this ever see the light of day?’ and also we can report that the Invictus Games documentary also seems some way off from being finished.”

“Now more than ever people like Netflix, who are seeing their subscribers dwindling on a daily basis, need big-hit shows, they need returning vehicles, things that the audience allegedly want to watch like Drag Race, Real Housewives, comedy specials and meaningful documentaries.
As a result, Neil suggested that there is even a danger that the docuseries could suffer the same fate as Meghan’s animated series Pearl after Meghan’s animated series Pearl, which was canned amid a series of cuts at the streaming giant.
He continued: “Those are the things that rate well for Netflix, and if they feel that this doesn’t rate well for them, then it simply won’t be shown.
“Could this docuseries end up the very same way as the animated film that was promised from Archewell?”
