Serial killer-obsessed mum GUILTY of stabbing boyfriend to death then 'giggling' as she showed body to pal on video call | The Sun

A SERIAL killer-obsessed mum stabbed her boyfriend to death with a dagger then giggled as she showed a pal his body.

Shaye Groves, 27, plunged the blade, which she kept under her pillow, into Frankie Fitzgerald's neck as he slept.

The mum-of-one then video-called a friend and "giggled" as she showed her Frankie's body, saying: "I've done him".

Groves has now been found guilty of murder following a trial at Winchester Crown Court.

Jurors were told Groves kept framed photos of notorious serial killers including Ted Bundy and Myra Hindley on her bedroom wall at home in Havant, Hampshire.

She had previously "joked" about Frankie, 25, ending up on the wall as there was "space for him".

Groves also had a collection of "decorative" daggers that featured depictions of film villains Chuckie, Jigsaw from the Saw movies and IT clown Pennywise.

Prosecutors said she used the blades in the bedroom for "knife play" and took part in bondage, dominance, submission and masochism.

A camera was also set up in the room to record the pair having sex.

On July 17 last year, the fiend knifed Frankie 22 times using one of the weapons in her bedroom.

She also plunged the blade into his neck causing a "large split" during the frenzied attack.

Groves then messaged her friend Vikki Baitup to create a "false alibi" where she said Frankie had "stormed out" after a row.

The monster used her true crime documentary obsession as her inspiration in attempting to cover up the "crime of passion".

But she later video-called the pal and was "giggling away" as she asked Vikki how her weekend was.

Groves then told her she had a "really big secret" and begged her friend not to say anything.

Ms Baitup said: "That's when she went upstairs, went into her room, pointed the camera at [Frankie] and said 'I've done him'."

The horrified friend at first asked if Groves was "having me on", causing the killer to show her Frankie wrapped in a duvet and lying on bin bags.

She said: "Groves got really close to the wound.

"I don't think I had really grasped what happened earlier. The gash was so deep – it was enormous."

Groves claimed she discovered Frankie was messaging a teen girl so she plunged the knife into his neck as he slept.

She ended the call by asking: "We're still friends aren't we?"

In police bodycam footage, Groves claimed to officers she did not know "what the f**k happened".

She also claimed Frankie had attempted to hurt her and said she acted in self defence.

The mum added: "He's dead. He's in my room, it's a mess, it really is a mess.

"I still took somebody's life. The knife I used is in the sink – the cut on his neck is pretty brutal, when I put it in his neck he rolled over."

A post mortem found Frankie was stabbed 17 times to the front of the chest, twice to other chest areas and three to times to the neck.

He suffered multiple perforations of heart and lungs and "catastrophic blood loss".

Groves, of Botley Drive, Havant, will be sentenced at a later date.
