- Pesky squirrel crawled along the top of a bird feeder outside an Alabama home
- The critter had no luck to begin with – repeatedly sliding back down the pole

The grey squirrel then latched on to the hook of the feeder in an attempt to avoid a fall, and ended up hanging sideways from it.
But the hungry squirrel refused to give up – it pulled itself upright and grasped the top of the pole with two paws, only to slide down the metal once again.

At one point, the critter managed to keep one foot on the suspended plate and the other on the very edge of the pole, standing momentarily with its legs wide open.

The squirrel was then able to finally claim its prize, chomping down on the bird seed as it swung back and forth on the feeder.
The video, filmed in Alabama, wasn’t the first time the home owner had witnessed this scene.
‘I was trying to keep this pesky squirrel from gobbling up all the birdseed everyday by spraying vegetable oil on the attachments,’ they said.
