Storm Callum will hit the UK on the morning of Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank.
Gale-force winds are expected to blast Ireland and western Britain when the blows in from the Atlantic this weekend.
The couple will wed at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle at 11am on Friday with 800 guests expected to attend.
Around 1,200 members of the public will gather on the grounds of Windsor Castle to watch the proceedings and join in the celebrations.
However, they might be left gathering under umbrellas as the forecast doesn’t look good for the couple’s big day.
The storm, which could bring gusts of up to 80mph, will hit on Friday morning and the Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for Friday and Saturday.
Forecasters are warning of heavy and persistent rain which has the potential to cause flooding, "difficult" driving conditions and potential road closures.
Met Eireann issued an orange warning for gale-force winds of up to 80mph for all the coastal counties in the Republic of Ireland on Thursday and Friday.
The storm will hit the UK just hours before Princess Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank are expected to tie the knot in the second royal wedding this year.
But the Met Office said on Wednesday the worst of the weather would be in western Scotland, Wales and the Lake District.
In a tweet, it added: "Friday’s weather system has been named as #StormCallum by @MetEireann. The strongest winds are likely in western Ireland though NW parts of the UK can expect severe gales. The main impacts for the UK will be from heavy rain across some western areas Friday & Saturday £weatheraware."
The storm warnings come as temperatures were set to soar to 25C (77F) on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the couple’s nuptials continue to hit the headlines as the Daily Mirror revealed today that homeless people are being told to move on from the carriage route.
Eugenie’s wedding is going to cost tax payers in the region of £2.25million for policing and security around Windsor.
Jack asked Eugenie to be his wife while they were on holiday in holiday in Nicaragua , and they announced the news in January.
The couple are hosting a two-day wedding celebration with a formal lunch and glitzy evening reception following the ceremony at Windsor.
This will be followed by a more laid-back festival themed party on the Saturday.
The Queen, Meghan Markle , Kate Middleton and Princes Harry and William are all expected to attend.
Eugenie, the daughter of the Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York, is ninth in line to the throne.
