Subway employee arrested after waving knife at customer in toasted sandwich row

A fast food shop worker has been sacked after being arrested for waving a large kitchen knife at customers in a row over a toasted sandwich which got out of hand.

Subway employee Chelsea Lloyd appeared to lose her temper and was filmed with the large blade as she shouted at customer Vincente Timiraos.

The row at a branch of the sandwich shop in Miami apparently began after Mr Timiraos asked for his bread to be toasted separately to his friends’.

He told 7 News: "The subway employee came out with a knife the size of God knows what.

“She started coming out, swinging the knife everywhere. She came outside with the knife.”

He added that he had his gun with him, but did not get it out and decided to simply film the action instead.

"It was over toasted bread. I didn’t feel the need to kill someone over toasted bread," he added.

“Most people assume that I’m a man, but once they realized that I was a female, [they said], ‘Oh, what, you’re a [expletive] he-she?’”

The police arrived at around 7pm on Monday and arrested the 29-year-old woman who was later charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
