Tesco is selling giant Reese’s peanut butter cups

Giant Reese’s peanut butter cups which are 13 times the size of normal are now available in the UK

  • Gigantic chocolate treats weigh 227g a piece, compared to the usual 17g cups
  • Each chocolate contains 1,144 calories – more than half woman’s daily allowance
  • Treats currently only sold in Tesco, where they can be found online and in stores

Tesco is selling gigantic Reese’s peanut butter cups which weigh 13 times more than the normal-sized treat.

The packets, which are in shops for £5, contain two of the popular American chocolates.

They weigh 227g a piece, compared to a normal-sized version which are just 17g each.

This means you’re getting 13.4 times more product in a packet – but it comes with a hefty price increase.

You can currently buy a pack of three normal-sized Reese’s peanut butter cups for just 60p at most supermarkets, the Sun reported.

This is just a fraction of the price of the newcomer, marketed as a novelty for Christmas, which cost £2.50 each.

Reese’s fans will, however, get more product for their money if they buy these gigantic treats. It would cost 40p extra to buy the same weight of the normal-sized chocolates.

But there is one major drawback to these treats – just one peanut butter cup contains 1,144 calories, more than half a woman’s recommended daily allowance.

The massive peanut butter cups are currently only sold in Tesco, where chocoholics can pick them up in store and online.

It comes after Reese’s Creamy Peanut Butter Spread was released in supermarkets last month.

The hefty 500g jar can currently be picked up in ASDA for £2.99 and Ocado for £3.50.
